The non-profit Circle Cinema is pleased to announce “Leon Russell’s 75th Memorial Birthday Bash!” to be held Saturday, April 1st and Sunday, April 2nd featuring film screenings, live music by The Leon Russell Band, receptions, memories and laughter as we celebrate the birthday of an American musical legend and proud Oklahoman. Proceeds will go towards the Leon Russell Monument Fund – http://preservemusic.org/

Saturday, April 1st:
Reception 12:00pm – 12:45pm features Circle Cinema’s Oklahoma Walk of Fame medallion dedication, Live music from The Leon Russell Band in lobby, beverages and snacks.

1:00pm Film Screening “A Poem Is A Naked Person” with special intro by concert promoter and Russell historian Steve Todoroff. The 1974 film is Les Blank’s first feature-length documentary that captures music and other events at Leon Russell’s Oklahoma recording studio during a three-year period (1972-1974).

Sunday, April 2nd:
Reception 5:30pm – 6:15pm features Live music from The Leon Russell Band in lobby, beverages and snacks.
6:30pm Film Screening “A Poem Is A Naked Person” (intro by Steve Todoroff)
