About Almost Famous: Oscar Winner – Best Screenplay. Writer and director Cameron Crowe’s experiences as a teenage rock journalist — he was a regular contributor to Rolling Stone while still in high school — inspired this coming-of-age story about a 15-year-old boy hitting the road with an up-and-coming rock band in the early 1970s. The great ensemble cast includes Billy Crudup, Frances McDormand, Kate Hudson.

” The film shimmers with the irresistible pleasures that define Hollywood at its best!” – LA Weekly

This special event is a kick-off of a week-long celebration (July 7 – July 16) that will include new features as well as classics and silents; documentaries, special guests, filmmaker discussions, receptions and much, much more!

Our thanks to The Tulsa Voice. Join us for the Celebration!
